We have teamed up to bring you the most fun class ever! In this 3 hour class we'll cover the basics to sugar cookie decorating (yes, it’s beginner friendly!) and the basics of creating your very own charcuterie platter! Everything you'll need is provided at class along with a live in-person instructors – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).

This class is on Wednesday, May 17th and starts at 6:00pm-9:00pm at Baer’s City Winery at 321 Pearl Street New Albany, Indiana. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to 30 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies and charcuterie platters plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! We are looking forward to having you with us for this special collaboration!

About this Class

This class is for the beginner cookier and creator or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating and making charcuterie platters are all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies or creating charcuterie platters or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We will be doing a fun “Oh Honey” theme set of cookies and a gorgeous platter that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating!

We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, meats, cheeses, jams and honey and boxes to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 3 cookies, 3 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! All your meats, cheese and tools to create your platter are provided! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking, icing mixing shopping for meats, cheese and fruits is required. Just decorate and create!

This class is good for ages 16 and older, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on cookie kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself!

What will I bring home?

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of three gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 - 48 hours in their own box and 9 X 9 charcuterie plate in its own box. .

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 30 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!

I signed up for a class but can't make it?

:( We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 3 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are). Any cancellation after the 3 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to January 2023 from the credit issue date.

Things to Bring

Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating and creating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!

Bring an apron! Things can get messy when you’re workin’ with royal icing – so grab an apron (bonus points if it’s cute – I’ll definitely be asking where you got it).
Bring your glasses! There’s a reference slide deck to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.
Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!
Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they're also challenging! A good attitude makes all the difference.

A little about us – Amanda has been baking sugar cookies since March 2022 – and has not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are florals – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!

Jeanine has been creating snacks too pretty to eat for over 5 years! Serving corporate and local clients is Jeanine’s passion! Her creativity and attention to detail shows in each platter she creates!

DIY / Add-On Cookie Kits

Order your 6 sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and I’ll email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class.

How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.

Class must have 10 participants to be held!
